Dave Alpert of Greater Greater Washington brings us this report on the future of transit in Alexandria, VA, outside of Washington, DC. The city has a variety of locations that it is considering for a Metro station:
Alternatives A and B are cheap to build, but have less development potential. Alternative C has the greatest development potential, but costs three times what A or B would. Alternative D is sort of a trade-off. The city put together a PowerPoint listing some of the pros and cons that you can get here. If you live in the area, contact the City of Alexandria and let them know what you think.
